ROAR! (That’s ‘Hello!’ in dino)

My name is Gillian Lowe (but, please, call me Gill), and I am the founder of ‘The Lowe
Ranger.’ I am a primary school teacher of ten years, a wife, mum of boys, brummy born and
bred, and now, a dinosaur ranger. (How ROARsome is that!) I am so excited to help you
celebrate your special occasion by introducing you to some of my prehistoric pals. I hope
you find them as fascinating as I do!

It is my mission to ignite imaginations, capture curiosities, touch both hearts and minds and
make the impossible, possible for our young people, through first-hand, memorable
experiences with amazing creatures who- with a helping hand from me- will once again walk
the earth!

The Lowe Ranger

In a land before time…
I grew up fascinated by animals. Animal documentaries were regularly on TV in my
household. (Thanks Dad!) This fascination continues today, and with my family,
opportunities to see and interact with various animals are always high on the ‘family days
out’ list. Best holiday ever? Kenya- on safari!
My very first childhood ambition was to become a vet, but, sadly, allergies put a stop to
that. Always good with reptiles, though! However, I adored children- I always gravitated
towards them- and I found my calling as a teacher.

Entering the Triassic…
I’ve always been a confident performer; I’ve performed on stages in front of large audiences
since the age of 4 when I first discovered a passion for singing. Musical theatre is a passion
of mine and some of my fondest memories are of shows I have appeared in.
Whilst at university, training to become a teacher, I volunteered as a junior leader for an
organisation close to my heart, and ended up continuing in this role for 5 years! (Even
alongside teaching!) I would regularly interact with children of all ages, organise themed
weekends and events, run party games, dances, crafts. You name it…I did it! Not only was it
fun, but it gave me a real sense of pride to see how much the children would enjoy
themselves, and how much they would gain from being offered a wealth of opportunities
and experiences.

About: About

Entering the Jurassic…
In 2017, my first son was born, and from as early as about 1 and a half, dinosaurs were his
thing. He LOVED them! (He still does!) Through his passion, together we would play, learn
and become dino experts. We bonded over these prehistoric creatures. They were
everywhere! As my son got older, we were fortunate enough to take him regularly to see
the dinos, name the dinos, touch the dinos, ask lots of questions and explore at shows,
theme parks and family fun days. He would talk about them endlessly. (He still does!)

In the end, we created a unique dinosaur space for our son to enjoy. Check out the dino
bedroom!

Entering the Cretaceous…
Now, arriving in the present day, I have two wonderful boys, and I wanted to be able to do
something that would give me the joy and satisfaction of working with children and that
would allow me to be able to spend more time with my family making those very special
memories.

As a teacher, if you ever ask a pupil about their favourite aspects of school, they will always
remember the ‘fun’: wow days, dress up days, school visitors, performances, trips because
the experiences are real and memorable. Bringing dinosaurs to the children for birthday
parties, events, family fun days and workshops will give them the opportunity to engage in a
truly unique experience; one they are sure not to forget.

If you would like to give your child that feeling of awe and wonder with a memorable dino
experience, then please do get in touch.

Kind roars,
Gill (The Lowe Ranger)
